SOUTHWEST TRIO

Cuick Gonzalez and Friends are performing at Pecos Flavors Winery on April 15.
The Southwest Trio is on of Roswell's most unique musical groups made up of three musicians who are as varied as the Southwest weather.

From left to right:  Jim Kisselburg (playing the bass and singing), Cuick Gonzalez (playing guitar and singing), and Jamie Elliott (singing).

The smooth contemporary rhythms and voices of Jamie Elliot, Cuick Gonzalez, and Jim Kisselburg bring the various styles of Latin, French, Italian, American folk, Broadway, Jazz, Rock, and Gospel to a pleasing surprise to audiences in the Roswell area.

The Southwest Trio performs regularly at the Not of the World Coffee Shop, and at local charity events.  This past summer they opened for "The Pink Flamingos Show Band" at the New Mexico County and Municipal League conference in Roswell.  The Southwest Trio plans to release an "oldies jazz" CD later this year.

Jamie Elliott's vocal style is reminiscent of the lat pop-icon Eva Cassidy.   With similar range and tone, Jamie re-incarnates Eva's style and passion for music.  Jamie  is the manager of the Roswell Symphony and is a piano and voice teacher at the Courter Piano Studio.  She has performed in local productions at the Roswell Little Theater including "Godspell" and "The Music Man."

Cuick Gonzalez has been performing music more than 29 years as a solo artist and in groups in Mexico, the United States, and France.  Cuick is a medical doctor in sports medicine and a former head coach of the Mexican National Swim Team.  He, currently, serves the city of Roswell as a supervisor in Parks and Recreation.  He plays guitar with the Grace Community Church praise and worship team.

Jim Kisselburg is the executive director of Teen Court of Chaves County Inc.  Jim, a retired police lieutenant, has been singing and playing guitar and bass guitar as a hobby  for more than 40 years in various local groups and bands in the Roswell area.  He has written several songs and is producing a gospel album to be released later this year.  Jim also plays bass in the Grace Community Church praise team.
