I asked David Hartley why he put the task of informing the neighbors, including my dad, about the contaminated groundwater in the hands of John Talpas (chemical plant manager) in the letter below. David told me that this was as much as he was allowed to do.
John Talpas never made any effort to inform my dad, and a few others who have been hurt by this. Is this David Hartley the same David Hartley listed as a GLCC investor? The GLCC investor David Hartley made a lot of investments in 1998 and 2000, both years when high dollar decisions were being made between GLCC, the ADEQ, the EPA, the ATSDR, and the Arkansas Department of Health based on information where the ADEQ David Hartley was involved. Reading the ADEQ David Hartley's reports of the early 1990s, and then, in 2003 and 2004, and hearing David talk about how wrong he believes his reports were is enough to make me wonder if the ADEQ David Hartley is the same person as the GLCC Investor David Hartley. Maybe it isn't the same person. I sent him an email asking him. If he answers, I'll let you know what he says.

Box 8913, Little Rock, AR 72219 hartley@adeq.state.ar.us David, I have been carrying a question in my head for the past year or so, a bit like the question I asked you regarding why you didn't personally tell my dad and our neighbors about the contaminated groundwater flowing south from GLCC. This question has to do with a list of GLCC investors. I hope I'm wrong in even thinking that you could be the David Hartley on this list, but for the sake of accuracy, and considering several innocent and uni[n]formed victims of GLCC's crimes, I must ask you if this is you on the GLCC list of investors. There is a page addressing this question on my web site. Please help me give an accurate answer to this question. Sincerely, Frank McKinnon 903 N. Missouri Roswell, NM 88201 |
