If you live in the District 2 of New
Mexico, I am a candidate, in the
2012 election, offering to serve as
your Representative in Congress. I
am a member of the Democratic
Party.  

I am running against Steve Pearce.  
The ISSUES page of this web site
describes what I would like to
accomplish.  If you compare what I
would like to accomplish with what
Steve Pearce has been trying to
accomplish, you will see that my
values and beliefs are much
different than Steve Pearce's.

I believe that this campaign can be
successful with your help in
spreading the word.  If you have the
ability to contribute a few dollars to
this campaign, it would be helpful.  
But spreading the word about this
campaign is more important.

We have a very good country with a
very good government. But our
government is not working like it
should be. I believe that it is possible
to clean up the corruption and
careless wastefulness in
Washington, so that our government
can be used for its intended
purposes.

The United States Constitution is the
Law of the Land.  This is my guide in
doing all that I can to serve you.  
Our country was established with
our Constitution, which has its goals
set forth in its Preamble where it
says:  "We the people of the United
States, in order to form a more
perfect union, establish justice,
insure domestic tranquility, provide
for the common defense, promote
the general welfare, and secure the
blessings of liberty to ourselves and
our posterity, do ordain and
establish this Constitution for the
United States of America. "

As a Representative in Congress,
everything I would do would be for
purposes, which follow:  

1. To help form a more perfect union;

2. To improve our justice system;

3. To help insure domestic tranquility;

4. To help provide for the common
defense;

5. To help promote the general
welfare;

6. To help secure the blessings of
liberty to ourselves and our posterity.

While working as your
Representative in Congress, I would
like to offer you assistance in
learning about and dealing with
federal government agencies, like
the Veterans Administration, the
Environmental Protection Agency,
Occupational Safety and Health
Review Commission, Department of
Energy, and many more.  Some of
these agencies are not serving
people as well as they should be,
right now.  I would like to work with
others in Congress to improve
services provided by federal
government agencies.

This is a link to a guide that I am
looking at,  which provides
information on allowances available
to Representatives and Senators to
support them in their official and
representational duties as Members.
These allowances cover official
office expenses, staff, mail, and
other goods and services.  

I will be needing a lot of help
accomplishing what I would like to
accomplish for you.  The information
in the link provided in the above
paragraph makes me believe that I
will have enough funding to hire
necessary staff.  As I learn more
about what can be done by a  
Representative in Congress, and
learn more about people interested
in helping me, I believe we will be
able to create a team of people who
will accomplish many good things for
people living in District 2 of New
Mexico.

Como representante en el Congreso,
todo lo que haría sería para fines
que siguen:

1. Para ayudar a formar una unión
más perfecta;

2. Para mejorar nuestro sistema de
justicia;

3. Para ayudar a asegurar la
tranquilidad doméstica, 4. Para
ayudar a proveer a la defensa
común;

5. Para ayudar a promover el
bienestar general;

6. Para ayudar a asegurar los
beneficios de la libertad para
nosotros y para nuestros
descendientes.

Mientras trabajaba como su
representante en el Congreso, me
gustaría ofrecerle ayuda en el
aprendizaje y tratar con las agencias
del gobierno federal, como la
Administración de Veteranos, la
Agencia de Protección Ambiental,
Seguridad y Salud en la Comisión de
Revisión, el Departamento de
Energía, y muchos más. Algunas de
estas agencias no están sirviendo a
la gente, así como deben ser, en
estos momentos. Me gustaría
trabajar con otros en el Congreso
para mejorar los servicios prestados
por agencias del gobierno federal.
