HAZARDOUS MATERIALS IN PAINT (CHEMICAL COATINGS)
Inorganic color pigments based on
hazardous metals such as chromium, mercury, cobalt, lead, etc., account for over
95% of the United States and world wide pigments consumption. Color pigments are
commonly used by numerous industries and in various consumer products. It is
estimated that they are one of the largest vehicles of hazardous metal-based
chemicals commerce.
